Black-Glaze Cylindrical Pyxis
A refined cylindrical pyxis, a genuinely executed form based on similar black-glazed utensils of Classical Athenian pottery. The vessel is coated in a deep black glaze, while its lid bears a white rider figure applied in the so-called Six Technique — a rare decorative method seen in a small group of Attic wares at the end of the 6th century BC.
Traditionally used as a container for personal belongings, this pyxis can equally serve today as an elegant box, a small serveware piece, or a versatile decorative accessory.
