
Deep cylindrical drinking cup with two handles, ca. 450BCE
This deep cylindrical cup, or sessile kantharos, is based on an Attic cup at the Metropolitan Museum of Art New York (inv. no. 56.171.60) dating to the mid-5th century BCE. It is adorned with a stylized foliate pattern and other decorative motifs.
