Black glazed ribbed mug. Based on an original found in the Ancient Agora of Athens (ca. 450 - 425 BCE) excavated in a trial pit behind the Stoa retaining wall on February 28, 1935.
This piece was among the black-glazed items in our first collection, created for the opening of the ATTIC BLACK shop in May 2012. Its study and reproduction were made possible thanks to the detailed information provided online by the Agora Excavations (ASCSA).
