from Thetis cabinet (one-of-a-kind)
White - ground oil flask (lekythos) decorated with diluted clay-paint that produces a gold-like outline with the firing. The seated female figure, wearing a chiton and himation, holds a mirror and a wreath. On the background an alabastron (perfume flask) is visible.
Based on an original from the Museum of Cycladic Art (Athens) attributed to an Attic workshop (475-460 BCE), probably a work by the "Tymbos Painter" school. It was painted in 2009 and remained in the collection of THETIS.
